Signal Grid

I placed red paper behind a plastic grid and started playing with the light. I was interested in how the grid divided the colour into small areas, and how the picture changed when I looked from a different angle.

Between the lines, the red looked bright in some places and deep and dark in others. I tried different lighting and watched the shadows and small details in the paper. After a while, I began looking at each square. The same paper was behind them all, but each one looked a little different.

I enjoy simple experiments like this. Putting two everyday things together gives me something new to explore. Here, the red colour and the repeating lines kept me behind the camera longer than I expected.
