Rainbow

I took out an old DVD and watched rainbow colours appear on its shiny surface. As I moved it in the light, the blue, green, yellow, and red kept shifting.

Up close, I could also see small scratches. These marks from years of use crossed the bands of colour, which changed direction with a slight turn. I tried different angles, looking for places where a fine line met a bright reflection.

I had not put this disc in a player for a long time. It was nice to hold it again and spend some time with it. Each turn revealed something new. I photographed one moment before the next movement changed it again.
