I placed a black plastic sheet behind a broken piece of rough glass and lit it. This is the third photo in the three-part Radiant Matter series. I was curious to see how light would reveal the uneven glass against a dark background.
Up close, the small bumps and dips caught the light in different ways. Deep shadows remained between the bright reflections, making the shapes easier to see. I tried different lighting and camera angles, watching small details appear.
I liked how the two materials came together. The glass gave me shapes to follow, while the background changed their mood. This experiment became three photos, each exploring the same detail with different colours and light.
