I placed a transparent green plastic sheet behind a broken piece of rough glass and lit it. This is the first photo in the three-part Radiant Matter series. I was curious to see how colour and light would pass through the uneven glass.
Up close, the small bumps and dips caught the light in different ways. The green glowed brightly in some places and became deeper in others. I tried different lighting and camera angles, watching small details appear.
I liked how the two materials came together. The glass gave me shapes to follow, while the colour behind it changed their mood. This experiment became three photos, each exploring the same detail with different colours and light.
