Inner Light

I started experimenting with a rolled piece of metal mesh. I lit it from behind and looked at it closely through the camera. Light passed through the gaps and shone on the thin metal wires, while the thicker parts stayed dark.

I turned the mesh and tried different angles. Every small movement brought out different lines. I enjoyed following these little points of light and watching the picture change around them.

Sometimes it seemed as if the light was coming from inside the metal. That feeling caught my attention and kept me behind the camera for a while longer. A little metal mesh and some light were enough to make me forget to check the time.
