Green Trace

I photographed a surface with traces of paint up close. The pale green shades and worn patches caught my attention: where the paint remained, where it had become thin, and where the material underneath showed through.

Small scratches and grains became visible in the light. I followed the lines across the surface. Some met, while others faded into the patches. I liked how the green remained in small traces, leaving space for the other colours and marks.

I spent a long time looking at this detail. There was something quiet about it that kept bringing my eyes back to a scratch or a faint patch of colour. These small marks became the picture.
