A metal scourer I found in the kitchen gave me the idea for this photo. I lit it from behind and took a closer look at its tangled metal strands. Light passed through the gaps, while the thicker parts stayed dark.
It was easy to get lost in all those little loops while taking photos. The strands crossed, curled around each other, and disappeared into the tangle. After a while, I was just following the lines, looking for an angle that brought them together.
That is where the title Gravity came from. It felt as if something was pulling everything towards the centre. I like how playing with an everyday object can take me so far. This time, I did not even have to leave the kitchen.
