Fading Horizon

I lit a surface in a dark room. The light reached only a small part of it, while the rest faded into darkness. Looking at it up close through the camera, it began to remind me of a sunset or sunrise.

I was interested in where the light met the shadow and how that line changed when I moved the light. Small marks on the surface added more lines to the picture. I tried different angles until I found a view I wanted to spend time with.

I liked finding this familiar feeling inside a room: watching the light slowly disappear or begin to arrive. For me, the photo holds both moments. It depends on my mood when I look at it.
