Old chairs in the attic, lit by the sun coming through the window. The light made me stop beside them. It brought out some details and left others in shadow. For a moment, the stored furniture became a still life.
I like finding scenes like this. The chairs were already there, and I simply watched how the sunlight fell on them. I took my time looking at their shapes, how they stood together, and how the light connected them.
They may once have been part of everyday life. Now they sit in the attic, put aside. For a little while, they caught my attention again. This photo holds that quiet afternoon feeling, when there is no rush and we have time to look around.
