Blue Remains

An old tin can with a little blue still left on its label. The rust, metal, and torn paper caught my eye. Up close, I found so many small details that I spent quite a while photographing it.

At some point, the can was emptied and put aside. The paper began to peel, rust spread across the metal, and a few patches of blue stayed. It is hard to tell what was once inside. I was more interested in what was still on the outside.

The little blue patches still show something of how the can used to look. As I took photos, I followed the edges of the paper and the rusty areas, finding another detail each time. Even an empty tin can can keep me busy for a while.
