Autumn Mirror

Autumn leaves in a puddle. I stopped beside them and looked closely at their colours and the reflections in the water. In some places, I could clearly see the veins of a leaf. In others, light on the surface hid the details.

I looked for an angle that showed both the leaves in the water and the reflections above them. A small movement changed the picture: another patch became bright, another leaf caught my eye. It was nice to spend some time just looking.

I enjoy these quiet details of autumn. A few fallen leaves and a puddle would be easy to walk past. This time, I stayed and photographed a little of what I found on the water’s surface.
