Aquarelle

I used to paint. This dried block of yellow watercolour is left from those days. For a long time, it was just some old paint among my things. Then one day, I took a closer look.

It felt good to work with it again, this time with a camera. I once used water and a brush to put this yellow on paper. Now the paint itself became the subject of a photo, just as it was after all those years.

There is something personal about this image for me. It brings back the time I spent painting, trying things out, and getting lost in colours. It was good to return to that for a little while.
